College Street in South Memphis was teeming with activity Saturday as music lovers visited for the second annual Soulsville USA Festival.
The free event featured fifteen bands and four dance performances on multiple stages, said organizer Tonya Dyson. In between sets visitors could peruse local vendors and food options.
“It is a place to showcase the beautiful Soulsville USA neighborhood,” Dyson said. “The spirit of music has already been set in this neighborhood. It’s called Soulsville because of the Stax (museum) and all the great music.”
